How to Get The Message Through
Hi Folks,
This year is going to bring about some radical changes to the way business is being conducted on the Internet one of which will undoubtedly be the upsurge in the use of Blogs and RSS feeds to get the message through.
The use of email as a source of communication is becoming more unreliable and less effective as more and more filters are applied by ISP's and Hosting companies.
These measures are applied before our email even gets to the recipient, then one has to contend with the recipients filters and those infernal "Spam Blockers", which block everything.
Not to mention the introduction of mass mailers, mailbox cleaners and auto submitters, you know the ones, "post to over 1000 safelists with one click".
That's great, but where does the email from those 1000 lists go?
What's left after the filters and the spam blockers have finished automatically goes into the bin because it is physically impossible to read or even scan that amount of email.
Writing and posting blogs is quite a viable alternative.
One can write a blog, without the anti filter jargon, and know that the message will get through to one's readers AND be read.
Once the initial steps are taken posting a blog is really no different to sending an email.
First thing to do is raise free accounts at:
feedburner.com
and
rssfeeds.com
Personalize your blog page at feedburner, there is a variety of templates to choose from, write your text and publish your blog.
Copy the code for your personal Feedburner icon.
Refer the blog to RSSfeeds, copy the code for your personal XML and yahoo RSS feed buttons.
Go to: Feedreader.com
and download a free Feed Reader.
Place the codes for your buttons on your web pages and use them for your email signatures.
From here on, any messages that you need to post to your readers, just copy the message into your blog page, click publish and your done.
Plenty of help is available to you from a variety of places.
