How To Use Blogs To Rank Your Site With Yahoo in 48 Hours.

Blogs and RSS feeds are here, more and more marketers are switching over to this medium rather than continue to use email which is getting less reliable by the day.

What's a Blog?

It is a log of events, notices or net-notes that you can post on the net with certain permissions that will allow people to add comments to the text.

Once you have a blog established it is just as easy to publish a new blog as it is to send an email.

A blog can be published as often as required, regular posting is advised because at the moment search engines love them!

Writing blogs gets your site spidered by the search engines more readily, provided that you have links to your site in your blog page, consequently your rankings and your profits go up.

A blog can be used to build any kind of web site and is therefore a must if you have a niche site and need to get it into the search engines quickly.

Using blogs to promote your niche sites is very good practice.

Make sure that you get your RSS feed onto your My Yahoo page. If you don't have an account with Yahoo then go to: http://www.yahoo.com

Click on the My Yahoo icon at the top of the page and raise an account. When this is done open up your My Yahoo page and click on the "Choose Content" button, which is just under the headline banner.

Scroll down the page that opens up and in the left hand column listed under: "My Yahoo! Essentials" you will see: "RSS Headlines (BETA)New!" Check the accompanying box and enter your blog feed URL.

There is an edit button there that allows you to ad any other blog sites that you may have.

Shortly after this you will see your blog listed on your My Yahoo page, that means that your blog page has been spidered and consequently your site and any linked pages will be listed in the Yahoo search engine within the next couple of days.

Pretty neat don't you think?
